OUR C.O.R.E. VALUES

ABOUT US

C.O.R.E. Communities is founded by Marlon and Jodi Finley.  Marlon Finley has done over 25 years of youth development in the city of Chicago.  Marlon was born and raised in Chicago and attributes his life to the wonderful mentors he had growing up.  He has spent so much of his life paying it forward by being a positive mentor to Chicago youth.  Marlon has been a camp counselor, after-school youth development professional, program director, and case manager just to name a few.

Jodi Finley, Marlon's wife, has been involved in youth development since 2004.  From camp counselor to after-school youth development professional to grant and volunteer coordinators. She loves learning all aspects of youth development.  In 2014 she recieved her masters in youth development from UIC.

After years of working with youth in various organizations, Marlon and Jodi both loved the work but saw too many youth not getting support.  Together they are focused on having an organization that keeps youth at the core and creating programming that truly is beneficial for the youth they serve.  Creating an extensive mentoring program that equips young people with resources, opportunities, experiences, and trusted adults is their drive.
